About Us

Opened in 2014, Mercantile dining & provision is Chef Alex Seidel’s second restaurant, showcasing the craftsmanship of local farmers, producers, purveyors, and the professional skills of our team. Chef Seidel was the James Beard Award for Best Chef Southwest Award in 2018.

Our Mission

We run restaurants that feel like home with a team that feels like family to provide quality service, food, and beverage for guests, with personal growth and professional development for employees. We thrive upon commitment: to food, beverage, hospitality, and each other. Every shift requires adjustments on the fly and the ability to communicate effectively so service proceeds smoothly. Leadership

Requires 2 Years of Experience

Alex Seidel restaurants are actively looking to fill pivotal rolls within our leadership group. With our rapidly increasing covers per day and the growth of our company skyrocketing by the end of 2021, we are looking for leaders of all skill levels.

Front of House

HOST

We are in search of team members for our Host Staff to welcome guests to our restaurant. Shifts include daytime availability as well as evenings. An interest in top-quality food and beverage as well as basic experience in the industry is ideal. Compensation is an hourly wage.

SERVER & Bartender

We are seeking career-oriented Servers & Bartenders to join our front-of-house team. Strong familiarity with elevated wine, spirits, cocktail, and beer offerings is an important, and broad restaurant experience with table, patio, and carry-out service are highly valued. This is an hourly position with great development and growth potential.

Barista/MARKET SALES

We are in search of team members for our Barista Coffee Program and Retail/Provision Market.  Superb customer service, an interest in top-quality food and beverage, intermediate knowledge of artisanal coffee, as well as basic experience in the industry is ideal.

LINE CHEF & SOUS CHEF
